Cafe Vis a Vis - Ostfildern in Ostfildern

We went to the café on a Saturday afternoon with two children (1 and 4). The service was extremely friendly and courteous. The poppy-seed sour cream cake (homemade) fluffy and delicious! Our children could play and romp around in the extra play area (in the right amount). That didn't bother anyone. We will be back.

Very child-unfriendly so not recommended for families.

Dear Ms. B, Thank you for your 1-star feedback, which I would like to disagree with. We are by no means "child-unfriendly" - on the contrary. We offer everything so that mums and dads can drink coffee in peace. However, your children were constantly running through the café. On the one hand, this is dangerous because hot drinks are handled here, among other things, and on the other hand, we currently have the requirements that every guest MUST be assigned a fixed seat, including children. We only kindly pointed out to you that running around, under the current conditions, is not possible and made you aware that we have a nice play area for children. We assume a certain understanding of the circumstances and requirements of the state and would be happy if other guests, some of whom were on site during your visit, would be considered, especially the elderly. Those who do not agree with the conditions currently stipulated by the state will unfortunately have to forego a visit to gastronomic establishments during these times. Thank you for your comprehension!

Rating for the 30.10.2019 Because I was very satisfied with the service and the quality of the first visit, I went to this cafe for the second time this morning with 3 friends. The breakfast was just a nightmare. An outrageous service, an empty buffet, wilted lettuce leaves from the day before, eggs that were not fresh, stale cheese from the day before, egg cup with sticky leftovers .. The welcome was terrible. Four of us moved from the first table to the second table and from there to a third table. Everything is already "reserved". As it turned out later for the service itself, who sat there with her friend and conversed loudly. The noise made by the very bad-humored service was unbearably loud. She made us feel unmistakable guests, that we should go right back, If you needed something she twisted annoyed eyes! 2 of us had rolls, the other 2 not. Service had no time to bake bread and let us wait. She preferred talking to her friend. After about 20 minutes and two calls finally came the bun. For each one. As soon as the waitress brought the rolls she was gone again, in the smoking room, again with her acquaintance. 26 minutes! That we wanted to drink something, did not interest. The orange juice to tap was empty, we should get something from the stale juice bottle, they could not fill up. "I do not always have to come straight when you flick your finger" she said she has been serving there for 10 years. Obviously she has not learned in the 10 years that a waitress should wash her hands after smoking! Again she was gone and of course at the table with her acquaintance talking loudly with the mobile phone in her hand. When she was to take a dirty cup with her, she tore it from my hand and insulted loudly, began to argue. When I wanted to speak to the business owner, the service was then only screaming. Her acquaintance of course mixed in loud. Although I have repeatedly said that I will not discuss with her, both did not stop. A new guest came in the door, heard the tickling and understandably went out immediately. We have 4x12,80 € (unfortunately only bread rolls with butter and jam eaten, so 40 € paid too much) for an empty buffet and an outrageous service left, which obviously earned their pay while sitting and distributing guests with their mood. If you read the reviews here, in which several guests have criticized the service, I wonder how such an outrageous person continues to be employed and guests need to listen to such level offensive insults. We will definitely not recommend this cafe to our friends and neighbors! And the verbal attacks of the waitress and her acquaintances by no means fit into this beautifully decorated shop, they value the store down to the lowest level. An operation in sweatpants with pointed tongue, that says it all

Friendly service everything was fine.

The brunch is in the price-performance ratio really good there is even a champagne to disadvantage in the summer no outside terrace but it is not manageable and not so noisy why some brunch localities

Were there for breakfast, good price for buffet, but the service was alone and completely overwhelmed when there were more than 10 guests. Buffet was not refilled, only on request. Nothing special.

When I arrived, almost the whole establishment was empty, but I was offered a table in the smoking area. The table where I sat heavily tilted. Had ordered 2 pieces of cake and a coffee. Coffee was ok, cake was nothing special. Found a hair in the cake. The waitress brought me a new piece of cake. I was charged the full price. Once and never again
